Before anything scales:
- Decide what value means for your organisation and write it down: Return on Investment, Return on Employee, Return on Future.
- Do the hard work: evolve governance into a risk-based model that lets change through and gets value out faster.
The latest models, a bullpen of brilliant engineers and an unlimited budget won’t help if a 300-item checklist stops you from starting.
Recent engagements:
- An execution framework and operating model that moved a global power technology manufacturer from experimentation into governed, scalable delivery.
- A value management framework a global public financial institution used to rank its initiatives against limited capacity, turning a thousand wildflowers into a short list of what mattered most.
- An agentic AI strategy and delivery framework that shaped how a UK public sector body built its first agentic workloads.
- AI risk framing that gave a European financial market regulator a shared view of the risks that counted and informed its thinking on updated regulation.
I bring hands-on engineering roots to executive advisory. I shape and sell the work, and in delivery I’m still in it: the analysis, the deck, the answer in the room.
I’ve run the thing as well as advised on it. At Slalom I built the UK and Ireland cloud and emerging technology capability, beat its launch metrics by more than 115%, and sponsored the AWS partnership that earned us AWS SI Partner of the Year for UK&I in 2023, then led the EMEA expansion with the forecast and P&L. Earlier I held the P&L for a 90-person consulting team, ran a 125-person delivery organisation across five countries, and spent four and a half years as a CTO.
I speak on this regularly, including an invite-only executive briefing at the 2026 Gartner CIO Leadership Forum, London (“Beyond the Pilot: Turning AI Usage into Embedded Work”).
The problems I most enjoy: a sponsored AI programme stalled on governance, a board that needs a value definition it can steer by, and a regulated organisation that wants to move faster without pretending the regulation isn’t there.

I’m American, from Atlanta, Georgia. I moved to London in 2021 with no network and built a career here, going from Senior Director to Partner in three years. I think in systems, and I run the same frameworks over my own career that I run over a client’s organisation. Outside work I build my own tools.
Away from the desk, I like the things that can’t be rushed. Wine, which I collect and study (WSET Level 3) mostly as an excuse to keep exploring. Bonsai, which teach patience to someone who never had much. A 1963 Chevy pickup my dad and I are bringing back to life one weekend at a time, with Formula 1 and motorcycles for when the pace needs to go the other way. And diving: I’m rescue certified and I’ll get in the water anywhere, partly for what’s down there and partly because Teams doesn’t work underwater. Over 45 countries so far. The list isn’t finished.
